Abington History Group

Researching our history

The Abington History Group (AHG) was formed in the Spring of 2000 to conduct non-commercial research into the history of the villages of Great and Little Abington and record it so that it can be shared.  The Group also safeguards items that have been obtained as part of research activities and has an indexed archive of over 4,000 documents, records, maps and photographs.  The Group is always interested to hear from anyone with historical information about Abington that could enable further research.

Since 2000 the AHG has worked on many projects and has also produced several publications and won awards for some.  A full publication list and timeline of research activities can be viewed here
